Another new GREAT site for the ever musically starving individual

It's a new kind of last.fm, more 'social' oriented technically speaking. It has a very clean uncluttered layout, yummy features for the listener and the artist both. Main feature is you cant just favorite ur song, you can comment and then bump it so other like minded individuals can listen to it. Internal mp3 of the site its the best Ive seen yet, it must have been done in AJAX or something like that. Apart from strictly technical details, you can browse the site and do things without interferring with the player which keep on going and never loses the playlist. The player is always kept in the main window no popups and no frills. You can play songs on demand, look up for them by style or play suggestions without hassle. Bad things is dubstep is not on the genre tabs (as well as many other styles) so lets invade that place and lets bump!

M-A-W, Mixtape A Week V

Sometimes these dubstep radio show get some kind of magic, maybe its the ppl loving the music and brappin all ova the chat room, maybe its the music in itself. I think it has to do with the radio show host to create such a 'communicative' environment which get listeners both caught, involved and comfortable. A DJ called Skrewface his site here, has FULLY MASTERED this art and his show is just being bigger and better. I'm a regular listener since some time as now and I'm loving it more and more, episode by episode. Skrewface is currently expanding his show having other excellent dubstep djs like Chimpo, DZ, Twisted of Dutty Dubz and the list goes on! Check his web for more info and episode archive (all the episodes are available in a convenient podcast format). Usually after the guest mix if the listeners want more (which ever happens!!) we get extratime business and it really becomes the greatest show! I particularly love a show which is in its own league, not only because of the length (FIVE HOURS!) but for the relentless masterful tasteful selection mr. Skrewface has made. TRACKLIST TIME!

After a long delay, I came up across another great mix. It takes time to dig into quality stuff and when I find it I'm the first to be hyped up about it. For the fourth installment of Mixtape A Week I selected DJ Shiva's 'Singularity Sky' mix. As you will be listening to it, she is gonna take you on a trip which will keep your eye out of focus but your ears really entertained and constantly teased about the next bleep which will be coming. A crescendo in electronic atmospheres and tension, relentless and ruff. The music featured in is heavily resequenced and post processed with Ableton Live: DJ Shiva's weapon of choice. By the way there are other 'artistic' meanings of the mix behind it but I want to let you discover it by yourself. Or then, ask her directly, she's very down-to-earth and nice person to talk with!
