V/A - dotContemporary VOLUME ONE compilation

It's a great pleasure to announce once again another FREE DOWNLOAD quality release has seen the light. This one is out on dotContemporary, a new netlabel run by danish music lovers. Their goal was to provide a quality compilation, fulfilled to the brim with different styles and themes, moods and atmospheres. I'm so glad they liked my tune Squareshot and put it in the selection! Mine's tune looks good between Fused Forces, Krafter, Fors... and everyone else really!! In their (dotContemporary people) words:

‘Volume one’ is the first .contemporary compilation, and we think that it’s a pretty sweet first appearance. The compilation covers a variety of genres: from electro-madness (Squareshot, Electrostep) and post-IDM (Neon Rose, Inderviduality Music) to dubstep (Dominant Species, Vampires, The Fifth Siren) and drum and bass (Saturn) – heck, there’s even some ambient-greatness (The Sea) thrown in for good measures! Varying genres aside, we still think that it’s a coherent and – in many ways – quite extraordinary compilation. DOWNLOAD!!!

Their fifth release is made from music coming from every corner of the Europe. All the tracks are really worth listening, but I'll highlight two of them in particular. 'Mr Morningstar' is a tune by Titus Twelve from Bristol, and it sounds like Jahtari meets Skream! And then there's a dub number by Kindread. He's from Italy and the tune is called 'Kin Vibration' and trust, you could easily mistake this for some Vibronics tune. Its a song made to feed the scoop bins so watch out your subwoofer!!

Another new GREAT site for the ever musically starving individual

It's a new kind of last.fm, more 'social' oriented technically speaking. It has a very clean uncluttered layout, yummy features for the listener and the artist both. Main feature is you cant just favorite ur song, you can comment and then bump it so other like minded individuals can listen to it. Internal mp3 of the site its the best Ive seen yet, it must have been done in AJAX or something like that. Apart from strictly technical details, you can browse the site and do things without interferring with the player which keep on going and never loses the playlist. The player is always kept in the main window no popups and no frills. You can play songs on demand, look up for them by style or play suggestions without hassle. Bad things is dubstep is not on the genre tabs (as well as many other styles) so lets invade that place and lets bump!
